Apartment Le Hameau du Borsat – Val Claret-1 by Interhome Overview
First Impressions
When I first arrived at Apartment Le Hameau du Borsat – Val Claret-1 by Interhome, I’ll be honest — the name’s a bit of a mouthful, but the location immediately made sense. This three-star property sits right in the heart of Val Claret, which is actually the highest part of Tignes at 2,100 meters. You know what struck me first? The building has that classic Alpine apartment block feel, nothing fancy, but it’s exactly where you want to be if you’re serious about skiing.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about Val Claret — it’s not the prettiest village in the Alps, I mean, it’s pretty purpose-built and modern. But honestly, the ski access is incredible. You’re literally steps away from the Tommeuses and Palafour lifts, and I could see the Grande Motte glacier from my apartment window. The parking situation is actually sorted here too, which is huge because finding a spot in Tignes during peak season can be a nightmare. Recent guests have been rating the location 9.3 out of 10, and after staying here, I totally get why.
The Apartment Experience
The room — well, it’s more of a proper apartment setup — feels like staying in someone’s mountain retreat rather than a hotel. There’s a functional kitchenette where I actually cooked a few meals (groceries from the Sherpa downstairs), and the whole space has that cozy, lived-in mountain vibe. The furnishings are pretty standard Alpine fare — lots of wood, nothing too flashy — but everything you need is there. What I really appreciated was how warm it stayed, even when it was absolutely freezing outside, which happened quite a bit during my January visit.
Daily Life in Val Claret
Living here for a week, you sort of fall into this rhythm. Mornings mean stepping outside and you’re basically already on the mountain — no long walks with heavy ski boots, no crowded shuttle buses. The village itself has everything you need within a few minutes’ walk: a couple of decent restaurants (though they’re not cheap), ski rental shops, and that essential Sherpa store I mentioned. Evenings are pretty quiet, which honestly was perfect after long days on the slopes. The altitude does hit you the first day or two, but you adjust quickly.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t a resort with a spa and fancy restaurant service — it’s something better for skiers. It’s authentic mountain accommodation that puts you exactly where the action is. Couples seem to particularly love it here, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about being up this high, surrounded by glaciers, with the whole Espace Killy ski area as your playground. The fact that you can ski back to your door at the end of the day, drop off your gear, and be relaxing with a glass of wine within minutes? That’s the kind of convenience that makes a ski trip actually relaxing instead of exhausting.
Hotels in Courchevel offer guests the perfect blend of Alpine luxury and modern comfort, with many featuring ski concierge services and traditional mountain spa treatments to enhance the authentic French Alps experience.

Equipement de la cuisine très complet (ustensiles). Balcon relativement spacieux. Bon confort thermique.
