The kitchenette isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you need if you want to cook — which I actually did a few times because groceries in Val Claret can be pricey. The living area opens up nicely, and honestly, after a day on the mountain, having space to spread out and relax feels wonderful. The furnishings are functional rather than fancy, but everything’s clean and well-maintained.

You’ve got the Tovière cable car practically next door, which opens up the entire Tignes ski area. The shops and restaurants in Val Claret are all within a few minutes’ walk — I mean, you can grab fresh bread in the morning without even putting on proper shoes. The altitude here (around 2,100 meters) means the snow conditions stay reliable throughout the season, something I definitely noticed during my March stay.
