The apartment itself is a 3-bedroom spread over two levels, with this cool mezzanine setup that gives it a cozy, lodge-y feel without being cramped. Exposed wood beams, that slightly piney alpine scent in the air, and big windows facing south—so you wake up to this soft morning light spilling across the valley. The kitchen’s actually usable, not just for show—there’s a decent oven, a raclette grill (obviously), and enough cupboard space that you don’t feel bad about stocking up at the little supermarket on Rue du Coq. I’ll admit, the decor’s not ultra-lux—this is a solid 3-star, not one of those billionaire chalets—but it’s clean, well-kept, and the beds? Surprisingly comfy. Like, “you’ll want to steal the pillows” level of good.

Check-in was smooth—host met me with hot tea (a nice touch after a long drive up the mountain) and gave me the lowdown on parking, which, fair warning, can be tight in peak season. There’s a communal lot nearby, but if you’re driving in December or February, book your spot early. Oh, and the Wi-Fi held up fine for streaming ski cam footage and video calls home—no weird buffering mid-Netflix.

Honestly, what I loved most was just *feeling* like I was in a real part of the mountain, not a tourist bubble. You’ll see locals walking their dogs past the windows in the morning, and there’s a little boulangerie five minutes away that opens at 7:30—life-changing when you’re craving a warm croissant before hitting the slopes. It’s not flashy, but it’s real. And with a rating of 8.6? Yeah, I get it. People come back here because it’s comfortable, unpretentious, and just… right.   Très belle maison , spacieuse avec beaucoup de rangements. Très propre et confortable , avec tout ce qu il faut pour passer un agréable séjour ( jeux pour enfants, luge, papier toilette, linge de lit , livres..) .
