This four-star property sits in Moutiers with the kind of mountain backdrop that makes you want to just stand there and stare for a while. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which I actually appreciated.

Location & Access

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re perfectly positioned for exploring the entire Three Valleys region without dealing with the chaos of being right in the thick of the ski resort crowds. Moutiers is sort of the gateway to all the major ski areas, so you can easily reach Val Thorens, Méribel, or Courchevel without the premium prices of staying slope-side. The parking situation is straightforward, which honestly can be a real headache in this part of the Alps. Plus, couples seem to really get what this place offers — there’s something romantic about being tucked away in the mountains like this.

The Accommodation

My room had this perfect balance of mountain charm and modern comfort that’s hard to find. The windows frame the valley views beautifully, and you know what really impressed me? The attention to detail in the furnishings — nothing felt cheap or rushed. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are well-designed with good water pressure. I mean, after a day of skiing or hiking, that hot shower hits differently when it’s actually hot and strong.

The on-site restaurant surprised me in the best way. I wasn’t expecting much, but they’re doing some really solid regional cuisine with ingredients that taste like they actually came from somewhere nearby. The breakfast spread is generous without being overwhelming — fresh pastries, local cheeses, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a machine. There’s also a spa area that’s perfect for unwinding after outdoor adventures, though it’s more intimate than those massive resort spas you’ll find elsewhere in the valley.

  L’accueil d’Alexia et Nicolas était aussi sympathique que convivial. Des hôtes à l’écoute, au milieu d’un domaine exceptionnel, à 10 mn de Brides les bains et des remontées mécaniques.
  La maison est fidèle aux photos, voire mieux, et d’un très bon gout. Rien à redire, rien à ajouter !
