There’s this little balcony—faces north, so it stays snowy—and I swear, having a glass of vin chaud out there after a long day on the Séez Valley runs was the highlight. Check-in was smooth—guy at the front (Pierre, I think?) spoke great English and didn’t make me feel dumb for showing up with half my gear still strapped to my back. The lobby’s a bit dated, like your aunt’s ski chalet from the ‘90s, but it’s got character. There’s a wood stove that actually gets lit in the evenings, and the smell of burning cedar? Best part? You’re not in *central* Courchevel—where the Lambos park and everything costs €25 for a sandwich—but you’re still connected. The free shuttle runs every 20 minutes to Courchevel 1850, and honestly, La Tania’s got its own vibe. Quieter, more local. I grabbed dinner at Le Coin de Pierra—tiny place, family-run, the tartiflette could feed three. Came back, soaked in the little sauna (shared, but never crowded), and passed out to the sound of snow falling on the roof.

If you want glitz, go elsewhere. But if you want a place that feels like *skiing*, not just staying near it? This is it. Especially in January—fewer crowds, fresh tracks, and the whole valley feels like yours.

  Central location with great access to roads, parking and shopping; cosy, comfortable, modern and well equipped apartment with ample storage inside and out for skis etc; wonderful views; TV with Netflix, Disney etc; really helpful owners/management with flexible check in/out times – we arrived at 0100hrs and on check-out day we’re allowed to use the apartment all day as our homeward flight was also late (although it was very end of ski season so I think we were lucky there).

  Les descriptions étaient claires, et l'hôte répondait rapidement aux questions (par messagerie).
  L'appartement était bien, avec tout équipement nécessaire pour une famille de 2 adultes et 2 ados. De plus, avoir le supermarché Sherpa dans le même immeuble (porte à côté de l'entrée) était très pratique.
