The fact that recent guests rated the location 9.2 out of 10 makes perfect sense once you experience it yourself. Plus, there’s private parking on-site, which is honestly a godsend in Tignes where finding a spot can be a real headache.

The Room Experience

My room had that classic Alpine charm but with modern touches that actually work. The windows frame the mountain views perfectly, and you know what? The heating system is spot-on — something you really appreciate after spending hours in the cold. The beds are comfortable (not too soft, not too firm), and the bathroom feels more spacious than you’d expect. I particularly liked how they’ve managed to incorporate local materials without making it feel like you’re staying in a theme park version of a chalet.

Dining & Atmosphere

The hotel’s restaurant serves solid Alpine cuisine — nothing too fancy, but executed well. I had their tartiflette one evening, and it was exactly what you want after a day on the mountain: hearty, warming, and authentic. The dining room gets pretty lively in the evenings, especially with couples (which makes sense given how popular this place is for romantic ski trips). The service is attentive without being intrusive, and the wine selection actually includes some nice local options that pair well with the mountain fare.

What really struck me about Le Taos is how it attracts couples who know their way around ski resorts. These aren’t first-time visitors — they’re people who’ve stayed at plenty of mountain hotels and keep coming back here.   This was the first time that we have stayed at the property in the Summer so didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Our apartment was exceptional with an amazing view as well as a great size. We went for the three bedroom apartment with one of the rooms having room for three beds. It was huge!

  A very spacious apartment with fantastic floor to ceiling windows and a terrific view. The beds and pillows were really comfortable and their was plenty of space in the living and dining area. The ski lockers and access to the piste were great and there was a nice sauna and steam room to chill out in after a hard days skiing. The bar and games room had plenty of seats and were great spaces to relax and have a drink. The reception staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful.
