Maison Lennox Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, Maison Lennox caught me off guard in the best possible way. You know how sometimes you book a place based on reviews and cross your fingers? Well, this three-star gem in Mâcot La Plagne actually delivers on its promise. The moment I pulled up to the property, I could see why couples are rating the location so highly — there’s something genuinely charming about how it sits tucked into the mountainside, away from the tourist chaos but close enough that you’re not stranded.
Location & Getting Around
The location is honestly what sold me on this place. Being on Montee De La Tour means you’re positioned perfectly for both the ski slopes and those gorgeous Alpine hiking trails, depending on when you visit. What I really appreciated was the free parking right on site — and I mean actually free, not some sneaky add-on fee. You’ll find that parking in this area can be a real headache elsewhere, so having your own guaranteed spot is worth its weight in gold. The fact that recent guests rated the location 8.9 makes total sense once you’re there.
The Room Experience
My room was clean and comfortable, though don’t expect anything too fancy — this is a three-star property after all, and it knows what it is. The Alpine-style decor feels authentic rather than trying too hard, and the windows actually open (which sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places seal you in). The beds are solid, the heating works properly — crucial in the mountains — and there’s enough space to spread out your gear without feeling cramped.
Dining & Atmosphere
The restaurant serves hearty mountain fare that hits the spot after a day outdoors. I mean, you’re not coming here for Michelin-starred cuisine, but the food is satisfying and reasonably priced. The staff actually seems to care about what they’re doing, which makes a bigger difference than you might think. There’s this relaxed, family-run vibe that makes the whole experience feel more personal than your typical hotel stay.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.6 rating isn’t just a fluke — this place genuinely gets the basics right while adding those little touches that matter. The combination of excellent location access, reliable amenities, and staff who actually know the area creates something special. Couples especially seem to love it here, probably because it strikes that perfect balance between being romantic and practical. You’re close enough to everything you want to do, but far enough from the crowds to actually relax. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned, not because there’s tons to do at the hotel itself, but because it serves as the perfect base for exploring the French Alps without breaking the bank.
Visitors often choose Courchevel apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent Alpine destination.

open plan living, nicely decorated, very clean, and the homely feel. the outside area was also very functional and a pleasure to sit and take in the view

Nicola and Simon are great hosts. Friendly, helpful in solving even the most trivial issue, and always ready to give advice. We stayed with them when the daytime temperatures were over 30 degrees Celsius, but the apartment was still pleasantly cool. Mâcot La Plagne is a pleasant village with a well-stocked grocery store and bakery, both just steps from Maison Lennox.

This is an excellent apartment in what was once the cellar of a larger property (the owners live in the house above). The conversion is very good and it's both comfortable and well-equipped. As it was once the cellar it's quite dark inside but there is lots of lighting as well as outside seating. The location is great; it's in a village with a good local shop, bakery and bar which also serves meals and is 5 mins drive from Aime, 15 mins from Bourg St Maurice and 20 mins from the top of La Plagne. We were there in early June and had a great week full of excellent walks as well as hiring bikes for the day. It's an amazing area and we'll definitely be back.

Viktor from Belgium (9/10)
Heel vriendelijke hosts. Het appartement was ruim en goed onderhouden en had alles wat we nodig hadden. Ideaal voor twee personen. Door de centrale ligging in het dal konden we beide skigebieden La plagne en Les Arcs makkelijk bereiken met de auto.
