The place is one of those boutique chalets that doesn’t bother with star ratings—probably because it’s too busy being *itself*. Think exposed wood, low lighting, and that alpine smell—pine, wool, and faint woodsmoke—that hits you when you walk in. The common areas feel lived-in but curated, like your rich friend who actually has taste remodeled their ski lodge. There’s a little honesty bar in the corner (cash or trust system, nobody’s watching), and the staff? French, yes, but actually warm—rare in these parts. They don’t overdo the “bonjour, madame” routine. You know the type.

Now, it’s not massive—only a handful of rooms—so it books up fast, especially during February half-term. And fair warning: the road out front can get a little noisy mid-morning when the snowcats are grooming, but by 8:30 a.m., it’s quiet again. Parking’s tight but manageable if you’ve got a reservation (don’t show up without one—there’s no overflow). Oh, and the spa? Small, but legit. That outdoor hot tub with the mountain view at dusk? Yeah, that’s the money shot.

I’ve stayed in fancier places in Courchevel—places with chandeliers and caviar menus—but this one *feels* like skiing. It’s not about impressing you; it’s about getting you on the slopes, warm socks, good coffee, and a vibe that says “we’re all here for the same reason.” If you’re the type who cares more about first tracks than five-star turndown service, this is your spot. Just don’t tell too many people. I’d like to get a room next time, too.

  It was very cozy and had most of the things we needed. The ski in/out access is amazing for the seasoned skier.
  
  What could be improved: The apartments are quite noisy and you do hear your neighbours through the walls and floors. Also if people are playing music or arrive late then you can hear them. I sleep soundly so it didn’t bother us that much.
