Résidence Le Chalet du Mont Vallon Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Résidence Le Chalet du Mont Vallon, you immediately get that authentic Alpine vibe — none of that sterile hotel chain feeling you sometimes encounter in ski resorts. The property sits right in the heart of Les Menuires, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the slopes, which is exactly what you want when you’re hauling ski gear around at 7 AM.

Location & Ski Access

This four-star residence has nailed the whole ski-to-door concept — and I’ve stayed at places that claim this but make you walk half a kilometer to actually reach the lifts. Here, you can genuinely ski right up to the building after a day on the mountain. The Quartier des Bruyères area is actually one of the most sought-after spots in Les Menuires, which explains why couples seem to love it so much (they’re onto something with that 8.8 location rating). There’s also private parking on-site, which is a godsend because finding a spot during peak season can be… well, let’s just say it’s not fun.

The Accommodation

The apartment setup works really well here — you get that home-away-from-home feeling without sacrificing hotel-level service. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen, which honestly saves you a fortune when you’re not eating out every single meal. The room are thoughtfully designed with that cozy mountain aesthetic, and you know what? The views actually deliver. After a long day on the slopes, there’s something pretty satisfying about making a cup of tea and watching the sun set over the valley from your own space.

Amenities & Relaxation

The fitness center is surprisingly well-equipped for a mountain property — sometimes these places just throw in a couple of treadmills and call it a day. But what really stands out is the Turkish steam bath. After spending hours in the cold mountain air, that steam room becomes your best friend. I actually found myself using it more than I expected, especially on those days when your legs are screaming from too much skiing. The spa facilities aren’t massive, but they’re exactly what you need to recover properly.

Why Guests Love It

There’s something to be said about a place that keeps people coming back — and this residence definitely has that repeat guest factor going for it. Maybe it’s the combination of that unbeatable slope access and the fact that you’re not crammed into a tiny hotel room with barely enough space for your gear. The staff seems to remember returning guests too, which adds a nice personal touch. For couples especially, the location hits that sweet spot between being right in the action but not overwhelmed by crowds. When you’re paying ski resort prices, you want to feel like you’re getting genuine value — and honestly, this place delivers on that front.

THIS WAS OUR FIRST TRIP BACK SINCE 2016. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR STAY AT LE CHALET DU MOUNT VALLON WAS EXCEPTIONAL AND EXCEEDED WHAT WE COULD HAVE HOPED FOR. IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND WE CAN'T RECCOMMEND THIS HOTEL HIGHLY ENOUGH.
THE HOTEL MANAGER AND STAFF WERE INCREDIBLY ACCOMODATING AND DID ALL THEY COULD TO MAKE OUR STAY AS POSITIVE AS BEST POSSIBLE. THE ROOMS, FACILITIES, RESTAURANT, LOCATION, SKI ROOM ETC WERE ALL FANTASTIC FOR A SKI HOLIDAY. WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK! THANK YOU TO THE TEAM.

The location is excellent, with ski-in/ski-out access and easy walking distance to the center of the village via a public elevator. The hotel also has a heated locker room where guests can conveniently store their ski equipment each day, eliminating the need to bring it back to their rooms.
