Ski-in ski-out 1 bed, La Tania Overview
You know that rare feeling when you step off your skis and your front door is literally ten steps away? That’s exactly what happened at this little one-bed in La Tania—Ski-in, ski-out isn’t just a tagline here, it’s your actual reality. I stayed in January, right after a fresh dump, and waking up to first tracks without lugging gear across the resort? Unreal. The unit’s in Résidence Le Britania, tucked just behind the main drag near the esplanade des Tornets. It’s not flashy, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. It’s a solid three-star with a rating of 8.8 for a reason—everything works, the beds are decent, and the view from the balcony? Pure white silence, broken only by the occasional *whoosh* of someone carving down the slope below.
What surprised me—actually, what kept me coming back mentally during the trip—was how quiet it felt, even though you’re right in the village. I think it’s the positioning of the building; it faces slightly away from the main lift area, so you don’t get the early-morning clatter of boot packs and loud après prep. There’s a small kitchenette (stocked with basics, which saved me a few euros on coffee), and the shower pressure? Stronger than I expected—worth noting after some sketchy alpine bathrooms in the past. Parking’s a bit of a squeeze, especially in peak season (mid-January to mid-February), so I’d recommend booking the underground spot when you reserve. It’s €15 a day, but beats circling the lot at 8 p.m. with ski bags spilling out of the trunk.
La Tania itself gets some side-eye from Courchevel snobs, but hear me out—it’s *way* more relaxed than Courchevel 1850, and the ski access to the entire Three Valleys? Just as good. There’s a little bakery on the corner of the esplanade that opens at 7:30 a.m.—get the almond croissant, thank me later. And when you’re done skiing, the walk to Le Coin Savoyard for raclette is, like, two minutes. No need to drive or bundle up again. I mean, sure, the decor’s a bit ’90s chalet-core (think faux fur throws and wood paneling), but it feels lived-in, not outdated. You’re not there for the interior design, you’re there to ski—and this place gets you on the mountain faster than anywhere else in the valley. Honestly, if you want convenience without the five-star price tag, this is your spot.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Courchevel through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best locations for exploring the resort’s world-class skiing terrain.

The apartment was pretty good for the price, bed was comfortable, kitchen had all the necessary utensils, everything else was in good working order. Heating was working fine, but I do not recall whether there is an air conditioning option for the summer. We stayed in late March and the ski-in / ski-out option did not work as the snow had melted on the trail, but we could walk about 200m to the gondola. There is no parking on site, there is a small 45min parking lot for about a dozen vehicles to load-unload the luggage and pick up the passengers. There is a large 24×7 free parking lot down the hill in about couple hundred meters. There is a small but decent Sherpa supermarket in the building (food, fresh baked bread, alcohol, household supplies etc). There are a few restaurants, cafes and bars within short walking distance. The only issue we encountered was not being able to enter the building late in the evening upon our arrival (we arrived later than planned to be fair) – we saw a few people stuck at the entrance door as well. The door code was not working. Finally someone opened the door from inside, and the door was working fine for the rest of the stay. The ski locker room has individual ski cabinets for each room, but there are no heated ski boot driers – I guess one can dry the boots in the room by the heat radiators.

Location excellent for ski in and ski out. Also for resort centre facilities. Could be a little noisy at night with music from local venues

La localisation est parfaite à une cinquantaine de mètres des pistes. L'épicerie se trouve au pied de l'immeuble et les loueurs de ski à moins de 100m.
Le logement est très bien équipé et très propre.Pedro from Portugal (8/10)
