Studio Le Slalom – Val Claret-5 by Interhome Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into Studio Le Slalom – Val Claret-5 by Interhome, I’ll be honest — it’s not going to blow you away with fancy lobbies or marble floors. This three-star studio apartment sits right in the heart of Val Claret, and what it lacks in bells and whistles, it makes up for with that unbeatable ski-in, ski-out access that serious skiers dream about. You know what really struck me? The no-nonsense approach — this place is built for people who want to spend their days on the slopes, not lounging around a hotel room.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about Tignes — location is everything, and this studio nails it. Val Claret is basically the beating heart of the ski area, which means you’re literally steps from the lifts. I mean, you can practically roll out of bed and onto the Grande Motte glacier. The couples who stay here get it — they’re rating this spot highly because when you’re planning a romantic ski trip, the last thing you want is to waste precious mountain time shuttling between your accommodation and the slopes. Plus, you’re surrounded by gear shops and mountain restaurant, so everything you need is right there.
The Studio Setup
The apartment itself is compact but smartly designed — think functional Alpine living rather than Instagram-worthy interiors. The kitchenette is actually pretty useful (I was surprised), especially when you want to make a quick breakfast before hitting the early morning powder or heat up some leftovers after a long day. The space works well for two people, though I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re the type who needs to spread out your gear everywhere. Storage is decent enough for ski equipment, and honestly, that’s what matters most up here.
Mountain Life Reality
What I really appreciated was how this place embraces the authentic Alpine experience. You’re not getting room service or a concierge, but you are getting that genuine mountain town vibe where everyone’s here for the same reason — incredible skiing. The building has that typical Tignes architecture (you know, practical rather than pretty), and there’s parking available, which is actually a big deal in Val Claret where spaces are like gold dust during peak season. After spending days exploring the Espace Killy ski area, coming back to a warm, functional base felt just right.
Why Guests Love It
Look, the 6.3 rating might not scream “premium getaway,” but it tells the real story — this studio delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. Couples keep coming back because they’ve figured out that prime location beats fancy amenities when you’re serious about skiing. You’re paying for that Val Claret address and the freedom to maximize your time on Tignes’ legendary terrain. If you want spa treatments and gourmet dining, there are plenty of other options. But if you want to wake up, grab your skis, and be carving fresh tracks within minutes — well, that’s exactly what Studio Le Slalom delivers.

Key collection was straight forward. We didn't realise that we needed to take sheets and towels but Interhome assisted. The apartment was cosy for 4 people (2 adults, 2 teens). Kitchen facilities were good, wifi was good.

Excellent location – the view from the balcony down the valley to Le Lac gave us a wonderful spot to watch the New Year fireworks. The view makes the apartment feel more spacious. It is also one of the best equipped rental flats we’ve stayed in – it has everything you need and the welcome pack from Interhome with toilet roll and cleaning materials was a nice touch.
