Champagny-en-Vanoise sits beautifully at the base of the Paradiski area, and I mean, you’re literally minutes from some of the best skiing in the French Alps. What I really appreciated was how easy it was to walk to local shops and that charming little bakery down the street — you know, the one where locals actually go for their morning coffee. The shuttle to the main ski lifts runs regularly, though honestly, the walk isn’t bad if you’re feeling energetic.

The Space & Comfort

The room setup here is quite clever — it’s designed to accommodate up to 12 people, which makes it ideal for families or groups of friends traveling together. I was impressed by how they managed to create private spaces within the larger layout without making anyone feel cramped. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not those rock-hard Alpine mattresses you sometimes encounter), and there’s plenty of storage for all your ski gear. The heating works brilliantly too, which matters more than you’d think after a long day on the slopes.

Spa & Relaxation

Here’s where this place really shines — the spa facilities are exceptional for a property of this size. After spending hours skiing in the cold, sinking into their wellness area feels like pure heaven. The sauna is perfectly sized and gets properly hot (I’ve been to too many hotel saunas that barely warm up), and the relaxation areas are thoughtfully designed. It’s not massive like some resort spas, but it’s intimate and well-maintained. I actually preferred it to some of the bigger, more crowded spa facilities I’ve experienced in larger hotels.

  Mooi moderne chalet voorzien van alle faciliteiten. Grote leefruimte. Mooie kamers alle voorzien van moderne badkamer. Met smaak ingericht. Keuken is volledig uitgerust. Zuidgericht terras met BBQ, ligstoelen,…ruime jacuzzi en sauna.

  Het dorp is nog een mooi authentiek Frans skidorp. Je bent snel in het centrum van la Plagne voor het skiën. Er is een zeer lekkere bakker op 2 minuten stappen.(Probeer de frambozentaart!) Ook verschillende lokale restaurants met goede kwaliteit en kleine supermarkt op enkele minuten stappen.
