This four-star property sits right on Place de la Vanoise in Termignon, and I mean right there — you can practically touch the Alps from the front door. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which I actually appreciate after staying in some overly flashy places.

Location & Mountain Access

You know what’s brilliant about this spot? Termignon isn’t one of those tourist-packed resort towns, but you’re still perfectly positioned for everything. The Vanoise National Park is literally your backyard — I’m talking about some of the most pristine hiking trails in the French Alps. In winter, the skiing at nearby La Norma is fantastic, and the drive takes maybe fifteen minutes. Plus, there’s parking right there, which anyone who’s tried to find a spot in Alpine towns will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The Room Experience

My room had this perfect balance of mountain charm and modern comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find. The views — well, let’s just say I spent way too much time just staring out the window at the peaks. The beds are seriously comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are updated without losing that Alpine character. What I loved most was how quiet everything was at night — just the occasional sound of wind through the valleys.

Dining & Local Flavors

The restaurant here focuses on Savoyard cuisine, and they actually know what they’re doing. I had this incredible tartiflette that was clearly made by someone who understands the dish beyond just throwing cheese on potatoes. The wine list features some excellent local selections from nearby valleys that you probably won’t find back home. Breakfast was solid too — fresh pastries, local cheeses, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a machine.

Why Guests Love It

I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something genuinely romantic about the setting without it being overly precious about it. The staff seems to understand that people come here to disconnect and recharge, so they’re helpful without being intrusive. That 9.3 rating makes complete sense when you experience the combination of location, comfort, and that intangible feeling of being somewhere special.   The apartment was beautiful and very modern. Each room has an en-suite which makes everything so much easier. There is a smart TV in each room so you can watch whatever you want, all which are connected to WIFI. The Wifi is free and works well. The kitchen is practical, there’s good storage within each room. There’s also a garage attached for space to put ski equipment. The balcony boasts beautiful views of the mountains, perfect for a morning coffee. There is also plenty of parking just round the corner from the entrance to the property. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The host is very welcoming and helpful. I can’t fault this apartment in anyway whatsoever.

  Très bien situé sur la place à côté du boulanger, du fromager et de la supérette. Il y a l’arrêt de la navette sur la place ou on est à 5 min à pied des pistes.
  Il y avait tout pour cuisiner : casseroles et vaisselle en suffisance, verres pour différents types de boissons, appareils à fondue et à raclette avec la rallonge . On a cuisiné sans se dire qu’il nous aurait fallu qqch en plus. Petite machine à laver et séchoir dans la buanderie. La qualité des draps et des serviettes est bonne. Il y a une grange au RDC qui fait office de ski room et c’est la première fois qu’il y avait assez de places assises pour tous par rapport aux autres endroits où nous avons déjà été. La propriétaire était très disponible et à l’écoute.

  Heerlijk verblijf gehad in het appartement! Precies zoals op de foto's. Alles was heel erg schoon en netjes.
  Het treintje wat naar de piste reed was ideaal met kinderen, maar lopend is het ook prima te doen.
